General Public Jackie is a nickname I acquired after attending Bellevue Village Board meetings since 2012. As the only frequent attendee from the general public, the chairperson would often call me by name during Public Comment, asking if I wanted to speak. Over time, this greeting evolved into a warm pre-meeting welcome, with "Welcome, general public Jackie" becoming a familiar refrain. The moniker stuck, and now I'm known as General Public Jackie.
