General Public Jackie...
is a nickname I acquired as an audience member at the public Bellevue Village Board meetings. As the frequent, and many times solo, audience attendee from the general public, the chairperson would often call me by name during Public Comment, asking if I wanted to speak. Over time, this greeting evolved into a warm pre-meeting welcome, with "Welcome, general public Jackie" becoming a familiar refrain. The moniker stuck, and now I'm known as General Public Jackie.
