Josten Park was alive with hot rods, muscle cars, classic rides, and antique cars at the Charity Car Show hosted by VFW Auxiliary Post 9677 – Winiecki, held on Armed Forces Day, May 20, 2023.
3rd graders at McAuliffe Elementary School learned about the importance of trees during an Arbor Day tree planting on the school grounds on Friday, April 28, 2023.
On an overcast day, the Easter Bunny visited Josten Park, and brought sunshine through smiles from kids aged 2-8 at the Village of Bellevue Easter Egg Bonanza on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
Third time was the charm for this event! First canceled due to lack of snow, then postponed due to a snow emergency, the annual Freeze Fest/Family Sledding night was held Thursday March 2, 2023, at Josten Park.

The annual collection of Sack Hunger bags by local law enforcement, was held at the Bellevue Pick 'n Save on Friday, December 16, 2022. The collected donations were delivered to the New Community Shelter.
The annual Grinch's Candy Cane Hunt, was held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Josten Park. After hearing the news that the Grinch is planning to turn all candy canes green, the Village of Bellevue hid all of their candy canes at Josten Park. Children (ages 2-8) helped collect them all before the Grinch could get his hands on them.
A continuation of the Village’s work towards ADA compliance throughout our park system. The path increases accessibility around the perimeter of the playground, and decreases the wear and tear on the turf. As a highly utilized park, the encircled playground area will help maintain & retain the playground surfacing material in place to prevent injury from falls. With a safer environment for park patrons, as well as reduced runoff of the playground surfacing material, provides this project a high return on fun, function, and finances.
The annual Trick-or-Treat Trail was held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 along the wooded trail at Josten Park. Bellevue businesses, organizations, and community groups dressed in costumes and decorated a designated space along the wooded trail to provide candy and giveaways to the trick or treaters.
The Veteran, Police, Fire & EMT Picnic was held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Josten Park. This annual event was sponsored by Proko-Wall Funeral Home, AseraCare, Biebel’s Catering, Wesley Heating and Cooling, and VanRite Plumbing.
Food Trucks gathered at Josten Park for an evening of good food and family fun on Sunday August 21. Beverages sold benefited Green Bay East Baseball, and the event included live music from Biscuit Creek, followed by a Movie in the Park - American Underdog.
National Night Out, celebrated the 1st Tuesday in August, was held at Willow Creek Park in Bellevue on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. It was a night of fun and festivities with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, the Village of Bellevue, and many other community-minded organizations.
The Easter Egg Bonanza was held Saturday, April 2 at Josten Park for children ages 2-8. Thank you to the event volunteers from the Brown County Sheriffs Department, Bellevue Lions Club, Junior Jets 4-H, and Friends of Bellevue Parks. The event was possible by sponsorship from the Bellevue Business & Professional Association, Happy Joe's, and Pepsi.
The Bellevue Business and Professional Association awarded the 2020 Citizens' Award to Mike Vanden Heuvel Farm and the 2021 Citizens' Award to Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. & Bob Walczyk Jr.
We celebrate National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) each January 9th to express gratitude towards the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect and serve their communities.
